Our Heritage, Our Future.
A cultural initiative preserving the traditions, languages and stories of Uganda’s many communities so the next generation can carry them forward.
Who we areGet involvedUganda’s culture is its richest natural resource.
Pearl Roots Harakati Ltd. is a non-profit that celebrates Uganda as the most beautiful place to stay on earth: for its people, landscapes, soils, flora, fauna, sunshine and gentle climate.
We document what communities know, teach what children should inherit, and bring people together to celebrate it. Everything we do is meant to make culture useful, transferable and valuable.

The Four Way Trust

Championing domestic and cultural tourism that helps Ugandans discover the natural endowment of the Pearl of Africa and the goodness of its people.
Sustainable Livelihoods
Reviving the Burungi Bwansi spirit: tree planting, plastic waste management, organic food, renewable energy and being a good neighbour.
Vision
To preserve Uganda’s heritage by making our cultures useful, transferable and valuable for future generations.
Mission
To anchor the next generations in identity, values and belonging through culturally rooted education.
